Once upon a time, in a vast and beautiful sky, there was a little cloud named Cudy. Cudy was different from all the other clouds. While his friends could easily burst into rain showers, Cudy couldn’t produce a single drop. No matter how hard he tried, he remained dry and fluffy.
Cudy felt very sad about this. He watched his friends drift effortlessly, releasing gentle rains that nourished the earth below. The flowers would bloom brighter, the rivers would flow fuller, and the thirsty animals would drink their fill. But poor Cudy could only hover above, feeling useless and left out.
One day, as Cudy drifted over a small village, he saw a group of children playing in the park. They laughed and splashed in puddles left by a recent rain. Cudy sighed, wishing he could join in the fun by providing some rain of his own. Just then, an old, wise owl perched on a nearby tree branch. The owl noticed Cudy’s sad expression and flew up to him.
“Why are you so down, little cloud?” the owl asked gently.
“I can’t rain,” Cudy replied, his voice trembling. “I feel like I’m not doing my job. I can’t help the plants grow or give the animals water.”
The wise owl smiled and said, “Sometimes, being different is what makes you special. Not all clouds are meant to rain. Some have other important roles to play.”
Cudy tilted his head, curious. “What other roles?”
“Let me show you,” the owl said. “Follow me.”
The owl led Cudy over the village, where they saw a group of farmers working in the fields. The ground was already damp from the recent rain, but the sun was shining brightly. The farmers were using the sunlight to dry their freshly harvested crops. Cudy realized that without the sun, the crops would rot.
“See?” the owl explained. “Sometimes, the world needs a break from the rain. Your presence helps the sun do its job, which is just as important.”
As they continued their journey, they flew over a forest. The animals there were busy building their homes and searching for food. The forest floor was moist enough from the earlier rain, but the air was fresh and cool. Cudy noticed that the animals seemed happy and content.
“Without you, the air would be too heavy with moisture,” the owl said. “Your dryness helps balance the environment. You are a cloud that brings comfort and stability.”
Cudy began to feel a little better. He realized that being different wasn’t a bad thing. He had a unique role to play in the world, even if it wasn’t the same as his friends’.
As the day came to an end, Cudy drifted back over the village. The children were still playing, but now they were flying kites in the clear sky. Cudy watched them, feeling a sense of pride. He knew that his presence allowed the kites to soar high, just as his friends’ rain helped the flowers bloom.
From that day on, Cudy no longer felt sad about not being able to rain. He embraced his uniqueness and understood that every cloud, whether rainy or dry, has a purpose. He continued to drift across the sky, bringing comfort and balance wherever he went.
And so, Cudy learned that being different is not a weakness, but a strength. Each of us has a special role to play, and it’s up to us to embrace it with joy and pride.
