Once upon a time, in a land filled with winding tracks and colorful trains, there was a little blue engine. This engine was small and not very strong, but it had a heart full of courage and determination. It lived in a cozy train yard with its friends¡ªbig engines, little engines, and even some old ones who had seen many adventures.
One sunny morning, the little blue engine was busy cleaning its wheels when it heard a soft, sad sound. It looked up and saw a long train of toys and candies waiting to be taken over the hill to the children on the other side. The toys were worried because all the big engines had gone away to do other jobs, and no one seemed to be able to pull them.
The little blue engine felt a pang of sympathy. It knew how much those toys and candies meant to the children. So, it rolled up to the train and said, “I think I can. I think I can.” The toys looked at each other in surprise. Could this tiny engine really pull them over the big hill?
With a deep breath, the little blue engine coupled itself to the train. It started to move slowly at first, its wheels chugging along the tracks. “I think I can,” it whispered to itself, and the toys began to cheer. “Go, little engine! Go!”
The hill was steep and the load was heavy, but the little engine kept pushing forward. It climbed higher and higher, its wheels turning faster and faster. “I think I can. I think I can,” it repeated, and the belief in its heart grew stronger with every step.
Finally, with a triumphant “choo-choo,” the little engine reached the top of the hill. It had done it! The toys and candies clapped and cheered, and the little engine felt proud and happy. As it rolled down the other side of the hill, it knew that even the smallest engines could achieve great things if they believed in themselves.
When the train arrived at the children’s village, there was a great celebration. The children were overjoyed to see the toys and candies, and they thanked the little blue engine with big smiles and hugs. The little engine felt warm and happy, knowing that it had made many children happy.
From that day on, the little blue engine was known as the bravest engine in the land. It showed everyone that with courage, determination, and a little bit of hope, anything is possible. And whenever it faced a new challenge, it would always remember to say, “I think I can.”
