Stories For Kids Bible: Noah and the Ark

Once upon a time, in a world filled with people, there was a man named Noah. Noah was a good man, kind and faithful, who lived his life in a way that pleased God. But the world around him had changed. People had forgotten how to be kind and loving, and their hearts were filled with selfishness and greed. God, who loves all his creation, was very sad to see the world in such a state. He decided that it was time to start anew, but he wanted to save Noah and his family because they were good and pure-hearted.

God came to Noah and said, “Noah, I want you to build a big boat, an ark. I will send a flood to cover the earth, but you and your family will be safe inside the ark. You must also bring two of every kind of animal, one male and one female, so that they can be safe too. This way, when the waters recede, the world can begin anew.”

Stories For Kids Bible: Noah and the Ark

Noah listened carefully and set to work. He gathered his family and told them what God had said. Together, they began to build the ark. It was a huge task, but Noah and his family worked hard every day. They cut down trees, shaped the wood, and built a sturdy boat that was big enough to hold all the animals. It took many years, but they never gave up, because they knew that they were doing something important.

As the ark was being built, people in the town laughed at Noah. They couldn’t understand why he was building such a big boat on dry land. But Noah didn’t let their laughter stop him. He knew that he was following God’s plan, and that was all that mattered.

Finally, the ark was finished. It was a magnificent sight, strong and ready to float. Noah and his family began to gather the animals. There were elephants and giraffes, lions and tigers, birds and insects¡ªevery kind of creature you can imagine. Each animal came in pairs, just as God had instructed. Noah and his family welcomed them all, making sure they were comfortable and had enough food to eat.

Then, the rain began. At first, it was just a gentle shower, but soon it grew heavier and heavier. The skies opened up, and the rain poured down in torrents. Rivers overflowed their banks, and the waters began to rise. But Noah and his family were safe inside the ark, along with all the animals. They listened to the sound of the rain and the waves, knowing that they were protected by God’s love.

The rain lasted for many days and nights. The waters covered the mountains and the valleys, washing away the old world. But inside the ark, there was peace. Noah and his family took care of the animals, feeding them and keeping them calm. They prayed and sang songs, thankful for God’s protection.

After a long time, the rain stopped. The waters began to recede, and the ark came to rest on a mountain. Noah sent out a dove to see if the waters had gone down enough for them to leave the ark. The first time, the dove came back with nothing in its beak. The second time, it returned with a fresh olive leaf, a sign that the land was becoming dry again. Finally, Noah and his family, along with all the animals, stepped out of the ark onto the new earth.

God looked down upon them with love and made a promise. He said, “I will never again destroy the earth with a flood. I will always remember my promise to you.” And to show his promise, he placed a beautiful rainbow in the sky, a symbol of his love and protection.

Noah and his family built a new life on the earth. They planted gardens and raised animals. The world was filled with new hope and new beginnings. And every time they saw a rainbow, they remembered God’s promise and his love.

This story of Noah and the ark is a reminder that even in the darkest times, God is always with us. He has a plan for us, and if we trust in him, we can overcome any challenge. So, my dear friends, let us always remember to be kind and faithful, just like Noah. And when we see a rainbow in the sky, let us remember God’s promise of hope and new beginnings.
