Once upon a time in a dense forest, there was an old oak tree. At the top of this tree lived a wise old owl named Oliver. Oliver had big, round eyes that sparkled with wisdom, and he knew more about the forest than anyone else.
One sunny day, a little squirrel named Sammie was busy gathering nuts. Sammie was very curious but often got distracted. As he hopped from branch to branch, he accidentally dropped his favorite acorn into a deep hole. Sammie was very sad and didn’t know what to do.
Oliver, who was perched nearby, noticed Sammie’s trouble. He flew down and asked, “Why are you so upset, little one?”
Sammie looked up and said, “My favorite acorn fell into this hole, and I can’t reach it.”
Oliver thought for a moment and then said, “Sometimes, when we face problems, we need to think carefully and find a smart solution. Let’s try to figure this out together.”
First, Oliver suggested that Sammie dig around the hole to see if the acorn would roll out. But the hole was too deep, and the acorn stayed put. Then, Oliver had another idea. He asked Sammie to find a long stick. With the stick, they poked and prodded until the acorn finally rolled out of the hole.
Sammie was overjoyed and hugged Oliver tightly. “Thank you, wise owl! How did you know what to do?”
Oliver smiled and said, “Wisdom comes from experience and thinking things through. When you face a problem, don’t give up. Use your mind and ask for help if you need it.”
From that day on, Sammie learned to be more careful and always remembered Oliver’s wise words. And whenever he had a problem, he knew he could count on the wise old owl to help him find a solution.
